Petra Ježková is a theatre historian and editor, focusing mainly on Czech theatre of the 19th and first half of the 20th century. Since 2007, she has worked at the ATI Czech Theatre Studies Department, where she is the main guarantor of the Czech Theatre Encyclopaedia project, founded and manages the Nota bene series, and compiled and edited its first volume, Stůňu touž nemocí. Julius Zeyer a Jan Lier v zrcadle vzájemných dopisů (2017) and the fully bilingual third volume Correspondenz Stiepanek. Kancelář Stavovského divadla v Praze 1800–1850 / Die Kanzlei des Ständetheaters in Prag 1800–1850 (eds. with Jitka Ludvová 2023), published the monograph Obležen národem dramatiků. Jan Lier 1852–1917 (Academia Publishing House, 2014). Since 2018 she has been the head of the ATI Czech Theatre Studies Department. Since 2024 she has been the editor-in-chief of the journal Divadelní revue.
